RULES & REGULATIONS

EXHIBITORS IN ALL SHOWS MUST ABIDE BY THE DEPARTMENT RULES AND HEALTH REGULATIONS.
THIS INCLUDES GENERAL RULES

  1. An entry form must accompany all entries. PLEASE USE THE ON-LINE FILLABLE FORM OR PRINT CLEARLY USING BLACK INK ONLY. All entry forms must be fully and accurately completed. Incomplete entry forms will be returned to the exhibitor.
  2. All Poultry must meet health requirements as specified in the Rules for Exhibition as required by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. (F.A.C. 5C-4: Admission of Animals for Exhibition)
  3. This show is open to exhibitors from Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
  4. Poultry and domestic birds presented for exhibition from out of state must have a Poultry Import Permit issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. To request a permit visit: www.FDACS.gov/poultrypermit
  5. An Official Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (OCVI) or VS9-3 from an NPIP participant is required for all poultry and domestic birds for movement into Florida in addition to a Poultry Import Permit, but not specifically for exhibition.
  6. Poultry and domestic birds presented for exhibition without an OCVI showing a negative pullorum-typhoid (PT) test within 90 days of exhibition or NPIP PT Clean classification will be inspected and tested for pullorum-typhoid by a representative from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Animal Industry.
  7. All birds must be free of external parasites.
  8. Poultry not groomed and prepared for exhibit will not be accepted at check-in.  Spurs cannot be any longer than 1 1/2 inches.
  9. If a bird becomes sick it will be isolated and must be removed from the premises immediately.
  10. Birds entered in the Youth Division cannot be entered in the Open Division.
  11. Unavoidable changes or deletions in entries must be in the hands of the Fair Office as soon as they occur or to the Poultry Superintendent by phone at 850-661-2742.
  12. No poultry may be removed without approval from the Poultry Superintendent or appointed assistant.
  13. Any substitutions at check-in MUST be in the same class and same division. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  14. The Fair is not responsible for poultry after 10:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2024.
  15. All poultry will be judged and awarded ribbons.
  16. Available space will be determined by postmark on entry form Due to space restraints, entries will be on a first come first serve basis. The total number of entries is limited to fifteen (15) birds per exhibitor.
  17. In lieu of animal name on entry form, exhibitor must provide animal breed
  18. Judge’s decision of breed determination and placing is final.
STANDARD CLASSES
Limited to standard breeds determined by phenotype (generic description) recognized by the American Poultry Association.

BANTAM CLASSES
Limited to bantam breeds determined by phenotype (generic description) recognized by the American
Poultry Association.

MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES
Limited to turkeys, ducks, geese, guineas, recognized by the American Poultry Association
