Welcome to the North Florida Fair

Thanks North Florida and South Georgia. Your support is overwhelming.

The North Florida Fair has just completed our most successful fair and many say our best fair. The attendance was over 109,000 people. That is another record attendance figure. There were new foods such as “redneck eggrolls” and the Krispy Kreme hamburger that were tasty and fun to try. The rocking chair lounge was a welcome addition to some tired parents and grandparents to rest while the kids were having fun. IFAS was present to teach children about gardening and plant growth. Goat Mountain was very popular with the animal lovers. Many went home with free items and prizes as a souvenir of the best fair ever. We are already working to make next year’s fair even more special.  We are planning to bring a “Free Drop” attraction to the fair. For those not familiar with the Free Drop, think of a movie set where someone falls out of a third story window onto the street below. Fairgoers will be offered an opportunity to freefall from 30 feet in the air onto a large cushion, just like the Hollywood stunt actors. Other forms of entertainment are being considered as well. We will post those shows when we know what they are. We are already working to make the 2015 fair even better. Thanks again for your continued support.

December 20 - 21 the Southern Classic Gun and Knife Show will be back on the grounds in buildings 2 & 4. Admission $7 under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Concealed weapon permit classes held each day at 11 AM and 2 PM www.floridgunshows.com ... See MoreSee Less

Hello, FB friends and family! What a great time everyone had at the Fair! Planning for 2015 has already started. We have a box of lost and found items in our office - a boo-koodle of stuff!! ID's, credit cards, driver's licenses, cell phones, purses, clothing, keys and even two different baby shoes! Please help us to return these items to their owners by sharing. Thank you so much! ... Two years in a row I have gone to this fair and it is the biggest Rip-off! Cost to get in $7 and $15 to ride unlimited which if you are lucky that equals about 3 or 4 rides. Waited to ride Fireball ride and when we two riders get up to ride there is only one seat, so we decided since we wanted to ride together we would catch the next ride. The mexican that was running it motion for to exit and go to end of the line. I don't have a problem with mexicans, but non of them were nice, smiled, and I don't think any of them spoke English. The three of us spent 100.00 in two hours, I will spent my hard earned money somewhere else...I will never go to that fair again! ... See MoreSee Less
