North Florida Fair Honored By Leon County Commission
March 10, 2026 – The North Florida Fair was honored with an official proclamation from Nick Maddox recognizing the organization’s more than 80-year commitment to community engagement, agricultural education, and youth development.
For more than eight decades, the Fair has served as a cornerstone event for Tallahassee and the surrounding region, welcoming more than 125,000 visitors each year while providing opportunities for youth through livestock exhibitions, educational programming, and scholarship initiatives.
All Youth Livestock Show Coming In 2026
March 5, 2026 – The North Florida Fair Association has announced that beginning in 2026, the Fair’s livestock program will transition to an all-youth livestock show, placing an even greater emphasis on youth education, leadership development, and agricultural involvement through programs such as 4-H and FFA.
The new youth-focused program will feature enhanced competitions including Premier Exhibitor, Showmanship, and additional educational opportunities designed to complement and strengthen the 4-H and FFA experience.
North Florida Fair Responds To Leon County Agenda Item
TALLAHASSEE, FL — The North Florida Fair Association (NFF) has submitted a formal response for inclusion in the public record regarding the proposed Fairgrounds lease item recently added to the agenda for the upcoming County Commission meeting. 
The response provides historical context, operational clarity, and the Association’s perspective on the long-term use and stewardship of the North Florida Fairgrounds. NFF outlines concerns related to proposed changes to the property, which would require the renegotiation of the current lease, and reaffirms its commitment to preserving the Fairgrounds as a community-centered asset supporting agriculture, education, family entertainment, and year-round economic activity.

North Florida Fair Opens Scholarship Nominations
January 1, 2026 – In 1985, the North Florida Fair Association established this scholarship in honor of Mr. Lloyd Rhoden, former Fair Manager and retired County Extension Director, recognizing his dedication to agriculture and education. More than 40 scholarships totaling over $160,000 in educational support to local students have been awarded, helping foster the next generation of agricultural leaders.
North Florida Fair Hosts Pre-Fair Food Drive to Benefit Second Harvest of the Big Bend

October 3, 2025 — The North Florida Fair is inviting the community to give back while gearing up for fair season. On Friday, October 10, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., the Fairgrounds will host a Pre-Fair Food Drive to support Second Harvest of the Big Bend.
Guests who bring at least two non-perishable food items per person will receive a free ticket to the North Florida Fair, which runs November 6–16, 2025. A maximum of five tickets per vehicle will be distributed.
All donations collected will directly benefit Second Harvest of the Big Bend, helping provide meals to individuals and families in need across the region.
North Florida Fair Announces Hiring Dates Ahead of 2025 Fair
September 21, 2025 – The North Florida Fair is gearing up for another exciting season of fun, food, and family memories – and the team is growing! The Fair will host two hiring events at the fairgrounds on Tuesday, September 24, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 4, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where applicants can apply and interview on site.
American Vintage Market Comes to North Florida Fair This Weekend
August 20, 2025 – The North Florida Fair is delighted to be hosting the much-anticipated American Vintage Market this weekend, Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the indoor buildings at the Fairgrounds.
This festive shopping extravaganza brings together nearly 100 pickers, makers, collectors, creators, and artisans, all offering a wide array of re-cycled, re-purposed, and re-imagined treasures. Visitors will discover one-of-a-kind items including vintage-inspired home décor, up-cycled goods, industrial salvage, jewelry, clothing, furniture, and much more—perfect for personal discovery or unique gifts.
Mark Harvey Retires After 20 Years Leading The North Florida Fair
After more than two decades of dedicated service to the North Florida Fair, General Manager Mark Harvey has announced his retirement, marking the end of an era for one of the region’s most beloved annual traditions. Stepping into his role is Miranda Muir, an experienced fair and event professional who brings a fresh vision to the Fair’s future while honoring its strong legacy.
Harvey has been a cornerstone of the North Florida Fair since 2005, guiding its growth, expanding community involvement, and enhancing the fairgoing experience for thousands each year. Under his leadership, the Fair became a standout regional event, known for its family-friendly atmosphere, educational programming, and celebration of North Florida’s agricultural heritage.
